Yvonne G. Lafontaine

Yvonne G. Lafontaine, 94, of Howland St., Fall River, entered into rest Thursday, December 17, 2015. A graduate of Thibodeau's Business College, she was employed by Firestone Rubber Co. and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River. A Marian Medal recipient, she was a former member of the Holy Ghost Parish Choir, Blessed Sacrament Parish Choir, St. Mary Cathedral Choir, the Ceciliennes Women's Choral Group, the Tiverton Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary and the Children of Mary of Blessed Sacrament Parish. She leaves a sister, Theresa Cahill of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Bourque) Lafontaine and the sister of the late Gabriel, Francis, Julien and Emile Lafontaine. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday morning prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
