William S. Newton

William S. Newton, 72, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, died Sunday, March 9, 2008. The son of the late Ellis and Alice (Smith) Newton, he was employed by Quality Produce and Harvey Probber. He was a member of Looms Up and Fall River Racing Pigeon Club and enjoyed quahogging and fishing with Tom on the Westport River. He leaves sons, William S. Newton, Jr. and his wife Debra of Somerset and Christopher B. Newton and his wife Pinanong of Providence; grandchildren, Tyler Newton and Melissa St.Pierre; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan St.Pierre; brothers, Robert Newton of Raynham, James Newton of Somerset and Frederick Newton of Westport and his companion Jeanne Lifrak of Fall River. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
