William J. Marcel

William J. Marcel, 80, of New Boston Rd., Fall River, formerly of Borden Place West, husband of the late Lucille (Saucier) Bohun Marcel, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, he was employed by Frito-Lay and Quaker Fabrics. A musician, he was a member of area bands including, The Playrites, Latin-Aires and Silvertones, Bebe's Musical Tops, Sunset Serenaders, and The J.P. Five. He leaves a son, James Marcel (Maria Couto); stepchildren, Richard Bohun (Paula) and Patricia Wilson, and a sister, Dolores Berube, all of Fall River; grandchildren, James and Steven Marcel, Jennifer DiNucci (Jonathan), Richard Bohun (Sabrina), Mark Bohun (Rosemary) and Susan Wilson; great-grandchildren, Jason Dean Bohun, and Adrianna and Gabriella DiNucci; a niece, a nephew; and his companion Louise Guay. He was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Carreiro) Marcal; and the brother of the late Henry Marcella. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
