William "Whitey" Halpen

William "Whitey" Halpen, 77, of Slade St., Fall River, huband of Natalie (Almeida) Halpen, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008. The son of the late Everett Halpen and Evelyn (Moss) Halpen Fortin, he was employed by Sarama Lighting, enjoyed cooking and was a beer lover. Besides his wife of 47 years, he leaves 7 children, Natalie Darling (Warren) and Debbie Snyder (Jimmy), all of Virginia, Darlene Faria (Scott Poling) of Newport, RI, Linda Hathaway (Alan) of Swansea, Cindy Halpen (Joe) of Pittsfield, MA and Susan Lajoie (William Silvia) of Fall River; 15 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; a brother, Everett F. Halpen of Provincetown and nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Friday at 7:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
