William Braga, 79, of Dwelly St., Fall River, husband of Marguerite "Marge" (Polak) Braga, died Friday, November 27, 2009. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by the Canada Dry Bottling Co. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, he enjoyed bowling and horseshoes with the Knights. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he especially enjoyed vacationing with his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife of 49 years, "Popeye" leaves three children, Michael Braga of Milton, MA, David W. Braga of Fall River, and Stephen C. Braga, Sr. and his wife Melissa of Somerset; six loving and devoted grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Chad, Stephen, Jr., Craig and Matthew Braga; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn Braga and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Manuel Braga and Elsie (LeBlond) Braga Dupuis and the brother of the late Raymond, Robert and Norman Braga. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
