William J. Angelini

October 12, 1925 — December 16, 2009

William J. Angelini, 84, of Fall River, husband of Lucille T. (Gagnon) Angelini, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009. A watchmaker and jeweler, he and his wife operated the former Angelini Jewelers for 48 years. He was also an enlisted United States Army Air Force veteran of WW II, as a tail gunner. He also served as a past Post 10 commander of the Italian American War Veterans. In addition, he was a past-chairman of the Columbus Day Celebration Committee. A Marian Medal recipient, he served as administrative assistant to the former Mayor Driscoll, was a Redevelopment Authority Relocation Specialist and was a member of the Sons of Italy & Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves 6 children, Robert Angelini and his wife Lora of Peru, IL, Richard Angelini and his wife Angela and Thomas Angelini, all of West Yarmouth, MA, Ann-Marie Angelini of Westport, MA, William Angelini and his wife Beth of Attleboro, MA and Christine Angelini of Fall River; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Louis Angelini of Fall River and Gerald Angelini of Ventura, CA and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Nello and Mary (Pieroni) Angelini and the brother of the late Sue Martini, Clara Dunham, Frank and Joseph Angelini. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River MA 02720.
