Wilfred A. Picard, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 of CIDP which is the chronic form of Guillain-Barré Syndrome. He was the husband of Gertrude E. (Fournier) Picard. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Theophile and Anita (Marois) Picard. A Merchant Marine veteran of WW II, he owned and operated Theo's Service Center, Oak Grove Ave., for 51years. An avid golfer he was a member and former board member of the Montaup County Club, Portsmouth. Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a daughter, Christine Belanger and her husband Roger of Fall River; 2 sons, Ronald Picard of Fall River and Roland Picard of Fall River and Falmouth; 2 sisters, Alice Duquette and Anita Natkiel, both of Somerset; 2 granddaughters, Stefanie Rezendes and Jennifer Picard; 2 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathan Rezendes and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Theophile Picard. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM in Notre Dame Church. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation omitted.
