Wilfred Dumont, 84, of Fall River, husband of the late Rita C. (Beaudoin) Dumont, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022.
A carpenter, he was the owner of Wilton Construction. He served in the National Guard and was activated during the Berlin Crisis. He shared his many talents in serving as Eucharist minister, lector, and volunteer at Blessed Sacrament, Good Shepherd, and St. Anne's parishes.
He leaves five children, Michael and his wife Madeline, Brian, all of Fall River, Robert and his wife Rebecca of Tiverton, Lisa Lowney and her husband Tom of Fall River and Linda Allen and her husband Chuck of Dover, TN; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Cassandra, Katherine, Shawn, Kristen, Christopher, Jared, Bethany, Jessica, Daniel, Heather, and Connor; three great-granddaughters, Cornetta, Everly, and Celesta, two great-grandsons, Luke and John, a sister, Claire, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Joseph Dumont and the son of the late Elie and Anna (Bruneau) Dumont.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St.Fall River. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 A.M.
