Wilbert Omer Lavoie

Wilbert Omer Lavoie, 91, of Swansea, husband of the late Dorothy (Antunes) Lavoie, died December 24, 2014. Employed by Parks Shellac, Somerset for 20 years, he loved watching New England sports teams on T.V. and enjoyed playing cards and having coffee at the Swansea Mall. He lived alone and missed his wife Dorothy every day since her passing 19 years ago. When he said good-bye on the phone to us he would always say "we love you" to keep her memory alive. They are together again and not lonely any more. Survivors include two children, Eugene N. Lavoie (wife Evelyn) of S. Daytona, FL, and Marilyn Bookbinder (husband Herbert) of Whitestone, NY; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Lavoie of Baltimore, MD and Zachary Lavoie of Cheektowaga, NY; a brother, Norman Lavoie of Barefoot Bay, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Pierre and Albina (Lambert) Lavoie and the brother of the late Germaine Goyette, Anita Robidoux, Rhea Michaud, Florence Cantin and Yvonne A. Ouellette. A private graveside service will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
