Wayne Warren Nichols, 76, of Tiverton, husband of Evelyn May (Bailey) Nichols, died Tuesday, July 19th at home following an illness. He was employed by Metal Works, Tiverton for many years. An elder in the Tiverton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, he served on the Regional Building Committee. He enjoyed exercising and puzzles. He was a baseball fan.
Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves four children, Susan Neville (husband Gary) of Tiverton, David Nichols (wife Susan) of Riverside, RI, Nancy Smith (husband Brad) of Tiverton and Julie Allen (husband Eric) of Holden, MO;
Six grandchildren, Christian Neville (wife Keziah), Diana St. George (husband Michael), Lee Neville (wife Jessica), Heather Hawkins (husband Jonathan), Alexander Legace (wife Alison), Cynthia Allen and Benjamin Allen;
two great grandchildren, Ava Lagace and Rylie Anctil;
a brother, Wesley Nichols (wife Barbara), and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Bruce Nichols and the son of the late Warren George and Gertrude Virginia (Wood) Nichols.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 615 Fish Rd. Tiverton, RI.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Kingdom Hall are appreciated.
