Walter E. Bucko

Walter E. Bucko, 90, of Fall River, passed into eternal life Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Our Lady’s Haven, Fairhaven.

A graduate of Bryant College, he served as Class President and was a recipient of the Wall Street Academic Award.

An avid traveler, Walter became a travel agent for Paragon Travel, New Bedford and later founded Global Tours and Travel in Fall River.  Walter also worked as an accountant for the City of Fall River and also at the Social Security office.

He was also the owner of Bucko Brother’s Bait Shop, Fall River.

A member of the former Holy Cross Parish and Sts Peter and Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church. Walter was involved in Sts Peter and Paul School, a Marian Medal Recipient, served as a Eucharistic Minister and was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.

He was a member and former State Commander of the Polish American Veterans of Massachusetts where he also held other positions of leadership.

He leaves cousins, Godchildren and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated following at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River, at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
