Vivian Polak

Vivian H. (Hetu) Polak, age 89 of Fall River, MA, passed away on Cape Cod on Tuesday Morning, March 18, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Polak, Sr., who passed in 2019.

Vivian was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Armand and Clara (Deslauriers) Hetu.

Before retiring, Mrs. Polak worked in the office at the former Pilgrim Casket Company in Fall River for over 40 years, owned and operated along with her late husband John.

Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family. She also was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Ole Miss.

Vivian is survived by her sons, John J. Polak, Jr, and Michael Polak and his wife Maura as well as her daughter Karen (Polak) Donahue. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Heidi, Caroline, Sophie and Phoebe as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Vivian.

Mrs. Polak’s funeral with visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 8:30am from the Auclair Funeral Home 690 South Main Street, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Mary’s Cathedral Spring Street.

Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Mausoleum.
