Violet F. (Westgate) Sylvia

Violet F. (Westgate) Sylvia, 89, of Fall River, passed into eternal rest Sunday, November 20, 2022.

For over 38 years, Violet was employed by the former Sassaquin Nursing Home in New Bedford as a certified nurse’s assistant.  She loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by son Gregory Sylvia and his wife Cherly and was the mother of the late Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Sylvia and  George “Larry” Sylvia;

Grandchildren, Gregory Sylvia II, Scott Sylvia and  was the grandmother of the late Jonathan Sylvia; great-grandmother of Kairin, Ava, Kara, Devon, Stevie-Lynn and Rhyder.  She also leaves granddaughter Jessica Clarke, her husband Brandon and their son Hunter; She is the sister of Patricia Reynolds, David Westgate, Judy Westgate and the late Evelyn Westgate and Barbara Pittsley;

dear friend of Dawn Pacheco and her husband Scott.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was the daughter of the late Chester and Alice (Pittsley) Westgate.
