Violante (Reis) Rocha, 102, of Somerset Ridge Center, formerly of Hope St., Fall River, wife of the late Silvano J. Rocha, passed away June 17, 2020.
Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, Açores, she loved to cook, embroider doilies and also made many crocheted blankets for her family.
She leaves a daughter Maria M. Cabral (husband the late Manuel) of No. Dartmouth; five grand children, Dario Pavao (wife Lurdes), Emiliano Pavao (wife Maria), Gorete Wilkinson (husband Scott), Kenny Cabral and Diane Cabral; six great-grandchildren, Derek (wife Kelly), Nicole, Kendra, Michael, Liliana, and Stacy; three great, great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lucas and Jacob; a son-in-law, Luis M. Pavao and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Maria Julieta (Rocha) Pavao, many siblings and her parents, Antonio and Maria (Silva) Reis.
A visitation will be held Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at Santo Christo Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery.
