Vincent A. Mannion, Jr.

Vincent A. Mannion, Jr., 82, of Fall River passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. He was the son of the late Vincent A. and Stella (Kuss) Mannion. He was the husband of Bernice (Barnaby) Mannion for 57 years.

He was a graduate of De La Salle Academy in Newport, RI. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1965 from University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth (formerly SMU). Vincent was an Engineer for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI for 37 years.

Vincent was a long-time member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks and the Knights of Columbus. He loved gardening and going to Baker’s Beach, where he was a member for more than 60 years. He was a parishioner at Holy Name Church for 59 years.

In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, he is survived by his two daughters, Erica Mannion (husband Michael Funari) of Wellesley, MA, and Melissa Johnson (husband Matthew Johnson) of Somerset, MA. He had two beautiful granddaughters, Madeline Johnson and Kinsley Funari.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, 12/22 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River. His Funeral will be held on Saturday, 12/23, at 9:00AM from Auclair Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 2233 Robeson St., Fall River.
