Venancia "Bening" (Guansing) Ramos, 76, of Prospect St., Fall River, formerly of Manila, Philippines, died Sunday, September 16, 2007.
An entrepreneur, importer and exporter, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Far Eastern University, Manila and operated a human resource overseas placement service in the Philippines.
A generous woman, she provided an education, food, shelter and clothing to many.
She leaves a daughter, Linda Ravenscroft and her husband Robert, Sr., of Fall River; grandchildren, Pearlie Grace, Robert, Jr., Desiree and Richard; siblings, Josefa Espina of North Carolina and Rosario Eradora, Rosa Joves and Vicente Guansing, all of the Philippines and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Filomeno and Petrona (Punzalan) Guansing and the sister of the late Isabel Guansing.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a Holy Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
