Valdernira (Gonsalves) Greeson

Valdernira "Bella" (Gonsalves) Greeson, of Amity St., Fall River, passed away at home Saturday, June 2, 2012 with family present. She was the wife of the late Henry C. Greeson, Jr., and lived her entire life in Fall River. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Gaudioso) Gonsalves Val worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Muriel Frocks and Belle Manufacturing and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Val enjoyed walking, dancing, crocheting, and country music. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and her little dog "Lady". She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Val is survived by her two 2 sons, Robert Greeson and his wife Claire of Stuart, FL, and Henry C. Greeson, III of Fall River; a sister, Lucy LaTulippe of Raynham, MA; a brother Manuel "Pat" Gonsalves of Somerset, MA; four grandchildren, Deri Greeson and Rob Greeson (and his wife Elizabeth) all of FL, Alicia and Andrea Greeson of Somerset; two great-grandchildren Jacob and Elyse Greeson of FL; many nieces and nephews, and godchildren. She was also the sister of the late Mary Greeson, Irene Torres, Agnes Mortach and Joseph Gonsalves. Val's funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Memorial donations in her memory can be made to Veterans Outreach, PO Box 9091, Fall River MA 02720.
