TSgt. Jeremy R. Gamache, USAF., 29, of Bristol, RI, formerly of Fall River, died with his wife Amanda Jo (Bray) Gamache, Friday, May 6, 2011, in an automobile accident. A Senior Force Protection Officer, he served our country 12 years, 11 months. He recently returned from a 2 year tour of duty in Korea, after having completed 2 tours of duty in Iraq. His awards include the A.F. Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, A. F. Meritorious Unit Award, 3 A. F. Good Conduct Medals, 5 Outstanding Unit Awards, Iraq campaign Medal with Star, Nco Professional Military Education Graduate, Korea Defense Service Medal and 2 A. F. Expeditionary Service Ribbons. He was formerly employed by Joe's Family Restaurant, Fall River and Steve's Place, Westport. A sports enthusiast, he was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. Survivors include his parents, Jeannette (Lacerda) Lemos of Bristol and Raymond R. Gamache, Jr. and his wife Cathy Ann of Fall River; a daughter, Meghan Gamache of Laurel, MS, 2 brothers, David and Andrew Lemos, both of Bristol; his grandmother, Irene Bridge of E. Providence; an aunt, Debbie Alex of Fall River, 2 uncles, Anthony Lacerda of Fall River and James O'Brien of Bellingham, his former wife, Joanne (Cosper) Gamache of Laurel and many cousins. He was the grandson of the late Frank Lacerda, Vivian Mellon and Raymond Gamache, Sr. His funeral mass will be held Friday at 11:30 AM in St. Anne Church, Fall River. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
