Tome S. Lopes

Tome S. Lopes, 82, formerly of Tecumseh St., Fall River, husband of Maria (Pacheco) Lopes, died Monday, October 22, 2007. Born in St. Michael, Azores, the son of Manuel and Maria Lopes, he lived in Fall River for the past 29 years. He was employed by the Foxboro Company and enjoyed fishing and farming. Besides his wife of 56 years, he leaves, 3 children, Cremelde Motta and her husband Louis and Jose Soares and his wife Lisa, all of Fall River and Christina Pereira of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and siblings. He was the father of the late Lebetia Lopes. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation, Wednesday 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
