Fall River

Timothy Malcolm Jewell

5/11/47 - 4/30/24 (76 yrs)

Tim was born in Fall River, MA on May 11th, 1947.  He was the son of Timothy F. “Buster” and Imelda (Santerre) Jewell.  He attended Prevost high school, was an altar boy at St Patrick’s Church, and worked as a counselor and camp director for St Vincent’s summer camp.  He would then go on to receive a Masters of Fine Art at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Tim’s early development of his art career began in New London, CT, painting large murals for the community to enjoy.  From there, Tim went all in to pursue his art in New York City, where he specialized in sculpture, and lived for 12 years.  Here he had numerous art galleries showing his work during this time.

In addition, Tim’s largest showing was at a gallery space sponsored by and displayed at the Johnson & Johnson campus, located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Upon leaving New York, he returned to Fall River where he was involved in pushing an art agenda throughout the community.  He helped facilitate Art Aware, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing art into the communities, highlighting the impact it has on our lives.

Tim is survived by his sister Anne DiScala, brother Martin Jewell, and numerous close cousins, who have all enjoyed many years of laughter with him.

He also was an inspirational and loving uncle to Frank and Daniel DiScala, and Cody Perry.
