Atty. Thomas P. McAlduff, J.D., of Dix Hills, New York, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Huntington Hospital in Huntington, NY after a long illness. He was the husband of Dr. Julie (Larrivee) McAlduff, a graduate of Durfee High School, Fall River, who is the aunt of Mrs. Jacqueline Ciullo of Fall River. Born in New York, NY, the son of the late John and Bertha (Nagle) McAuliff, he grew up in Garden City, Long Island, where he graduated from Garden City High School, played clarinet and saxaphone in the high school band and also played in the Garden City Hotel with his band. At Duke University, he was a member of the V-12 Program, then he joined the Midshipmen's School at Columbia University and then went to Radar School at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific area on the USS Cascade. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Duke University School of Pre-Med in Durham, NC, and then attended the Brooklyn Law School, earning his L.L.B. and a doctorate in Juris Prudence. He practiced law in Garden City and Huntington for 40 years, retiring 15 years ago. He was a member of the Bar Association of Suffolk and Nassau counties. He and his wife enjoyed an oceanfront condo on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for 15 years before Dr. McAlduff's illness manifested itself. Besides his wife, he leaves several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in AUCLAIR Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St. Fall River. Burial, Holy Hood Cemetery, Brookline, MA Visitation Wednesday from 4-6 p.m.
