Thomas Mandros

Thomas Mandros, 96, of Little Compton, Rhode Island and Cocoa Beach, Florida, husband of Alice (Venetis) Mandros, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

The founder of A-1 Pizza, Fall River, Newport and Little Compton, he also owned and operated numerous restaurants and businesses in New York and Florida.

Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves three daughters, Maria Sourmaidis and her husband Konstantinos of Little Compton, Tina Kyros and her husband Vasilios of Little Compton and Sophia Mandros of Bayside, New York; grandchildren, Katherine Sourmaidis, Demetrios Sourmaidis and his wife Milena, Vasiliki Kyros, Melina Kyros, Thomas Kyros, Vicky Zikos, Aliki Zikos and Elias Machaalani; great-grandchildren, Konstantinos Sourmaidis and Mariavera Sourmaidis; siblings, Anton Mandros of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Vasilios Mandros of New Jersey, Athena Tzorrou of Greece and Persephone Mandelos of New York, New York; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Athanasios and Maria (Yatrou) Mandros and the brother of the late Demetrios Mandros.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 289 North Main St., Fall River at 10:00 AM. Burial, Union Cemetery, Little Compton.
