Thomas Lally

Thomas Lally, 50, of Somerset passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 7th 2024 after a long illness.

He was born on October 22nd 1973 in Boston to the late John “Jack” Lally and Jeanne McDonough Lally. He grew up in North Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He was a network engineer for the state of Massachusetts.

He is survived by his companion, Lisa M. Furtado of Somerset and her children, Antonio "TJ" Furtado, Jr., Kaci Furtado and Victoria Furtado, and Lisa’s granddaughter Brielle Couto. Brother to Kristen and Paul Zelvis of Duxbury, Eric and Melissa Conrad of Peaks Island Maine, and Jennifer and Philip McGee of Marshfield. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews including Ben, Olivia, Abby, Eric, Emma, Meaghan and Sarah.

He loved all animals, especially his dogs Cleo and Gracie. He enjoyed feeding birds and the neighborhood chipmunk who he lovingly named Alvin.

Tom was kind, generous, and had a great sense of humor and laugh. He loved to play the game "Risk" with his friends, often while camping in Western Massachusetts. He also enjoyed visiting and spending time with his brother's family on Peaks Island, Maine. He was a sports fanatic and loved the Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox.

A visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
