Thomas Blackburn, 59, of Smithfield, RI, formerly of Fall River, died Sunday, November 23, 2008. A retired Fall River Police Department dispatcher, the light of Tommy's eyes were family and friends. He was the husband of 24 years of Lori (Chace) Blackburn; the son of Clara (Ainsworth) Blackburn of Fall River and the late John E. Blackburn; the father of Thomas Blackburn, Jr. (wife Carrie) of Westerville, Ohio, Dawn Marie Blackburn (fiancé Scott Boulanger) of San Luis Obispo, CA and Kristi Ann Kraus (husband Joseph) of Smithfield, RI; the grandfather of Joshua, Isaac and Sarah Blackburn; the brother of John Blackburn of IL, James Blackburn of Tiverton, RI, Carl Blackburn of NC, Beverly Frezza of Westport, MA, Paul, Elizabeth and Carol Blackburn, all of Fall River and the late Howard Blackburn and a special friend to Cheryl, Mike, Lucy and Bill. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
