Thomas Almeida

Thomas Almeida, 69 of Read St., Somerset, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was a social member of the Somerset Progressive Club and the Swansea VFW. He leaves five children, Laurie Almeida and her husband Jerry Workman of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas Almeida, Jr. and Debra Gosselin and her husband Thomas, all of Fall River, Richard Almeida of Somerset and Kristina Ponte and her husband Robert of New Bedford; his former wife Mary (Rego) Almeida of Fall River; grandchildren, Jared, Alexis and Drake Almeida and his dear friend Charlie Borge. He was the grandfather of the late Kenneth Cormier; the son of the late James and Mary (Rebello) Almeida; and the brother of the late Lollie Lucardi and James Almeida. His funeral service will be held Thursday evening at 8:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
