Theresa J. (Forcier) Bouchard, 88, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Forcier and Merilda (Belmore) Forcier.
Theresa was predeceased by her former husband John F. Mutch and was the widow of Leonard Bouchard.
She attended BMC Durfee High School. After school she worked at Louis Hand Factory until her marriage. She and her family moved to Connecticut and Theresa was a stay at home mom to her three children. She was excited to bring her children to Disneyworld in 1971, the opening year. Her daughter was thrilled to bring her back to see It's A Small World, her favorite attraction when she was 85 years old. She loved life and never let her age stop her from living. A week never went by when she did not have her hair done, often accompanied by her granddaughter Heather in the early days. She took great pride in her appearance. She also worked at Globe Manufacturing with her husband Leonard until it's closing. She worked as a CNA for an at home agency until her retirement. She loved clamboils and talked endlessly about the time her granddaughter Brynne went to her house and cooked her one. She never missed a celebration, birthday or graduation of her children or grandchildren.
Theresa enjoyed time with family, dancing, traveling, playing cards and listening to music. She loved the fourth of July music festivals she would attend with her daughters. She traveled to see her daughter in Florida two times in her 80's and visited Disneyworld. She was a member of the Amvets Club with her husband Lenny. She was a member of the Fall River Widows Club and enjoyed traveling with them. Theresa also enjoyed the Bristol Fourth of July Parade. She immensely enjoyed following Bobby Justin with her daughters and friends. She was funny and always ready to make everyone laugh with her special kind of humor, especially her granddaughters and their friends. She had a beautiful smile that was infectious! A special thank you to Anna and Kacie, both fabulous RN's and special caretakers to Theresa.
She leaves two children, her son Keith W. Mutch (wife Diane) of Oakdale, Connecticut; her daughter Darleen Medeiros of Vero Beach, Florida, and was the mother of the late Valarie (Mutch) Carreiro; grandchildren, Keith Jason Mutch, Sr. (wife Melissa Mutch), Taylor, Paige and Brynne Mederios, Heather and Steve Bartlett; great-grandmother of Cole, Elizabeth, Journey, Keith Jason Mutch Jr. and Courtnie Roy; and many extended family members and friends.
She was the sister of the late Mary, Rena, Joseph and Peter Forcier.
Family and close friends are invited to her visitation in the Auclair Funeral Home, which will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon. A funeral service will begin in the funeral home at Noon. Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
