Theresa J. (Lafontaine) Cahill

Theresa J. "Terry" (Lafontaine) Cahill, 86, of Fall River, wife of the late Daniel J. "Red" Cahill, entered into rest Tuesday, February 16, 2016. A certified nursing assistant, she was employed by Crawford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She served in the Citizens for Citizens Foster Grandparent Program at the Wixon School and Viveiros School. She leaves three sons, Sgt. James J.. "Jimmy" Cahill, FRPD, Ret. and his wife Donna, Charles J. Cahill and Joseph J. "Jay" Cahill, all of Fall River; two granddaughters, Nicole M. "Nikki" Low and her husband Jonathan of Nashua, NH and Kaitlin A. "Katie" Cahill and her boyfriend Robert "Bobby" Freitas of Fall River; two great-grandsons, Noah and Enzo Freitas; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Bourque) Lafontaine and the sister of the late Gabriel, Francis, Julien, Emile and Yvonne Lafontaine. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Espirito Santo Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
