Susan Wright-Belanger

Susan A. Wright-Belanger, 58, a 40-year resident of Somerset and former resident of "The Landing" Fall River, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Somerset Ridge Nursing Home with family by her side. She leaves 2 children, Matt Belanger and his wife Tara of Raleigh, No. Carolina and Nikky Jalbert and her husband Billy of Somerset; grandchildren, Gabe, Calvin, Leland and Wesley Belanger and Shelby and William Jalbert; former husband Norman Belanger; siblings, Cheryl Mendes and Charles, Bobby and Mike Wright and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Amelia (Arruda) Wright. Susan is remembered for her love for her children and grandchildren. Over the years she opened her home to foster caring for several children. She was a long-time advocate for former Congressman Barney Frank. She cared for her late mother Amelia Wright regularly and prior to her passing, and Susan previously attended St John of God Church, St Thomas More Church and Grace Gospel Church. Matt Belanger and Nikky Jalbert would like to extend a sincere and very special thank you to the exceptionally fine staff of the Somerset Ridge Nursing Home for the care of their mother. Following cremation, her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31 at 2:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation, Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
