Susan D. (Simonin) Pacheco, 52, of Swansea, formerly of Fall River, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. She was the wife of Robert J. Pacheco, Sr. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Alfred J. Simonin, Sr. and Loretta (Gauthier) Simonin Machado, she lived in Fall River for many years and in Swansea for the past 12 years. She earned an associates degree in accounting from Bristol Community College and had been employed by Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River, the Newport Navy Commissary accounting department and Seabra Supermarket, Swansea. A Secular Franciscan and St. Louis de France Parish CCD teacher, she enjoyed fishing, crafts and reading. Besides her husband of 31 years, survivors include 2 sons, Robert J. Furtado of Fall River and Stephen D. Furtado of Swansea; a stepson, Robert J. Pacheco, Jr. of Fall River; 3 stepdaughters, Lisa Pacheco, Melissa Howard and Eva Butterfield, all of Fall River; 2 brothers, Ronald H. Simonin of McLean, Virginia and Alfred J. Simonin, Jr. of Truro, MA; 2 sisters, Gayle C. Raposa of Swansea and Jeanne A. Simonin of Cranston, RI; numerous grandchildren and 3 nieces. She was the mother of the late Melinda Furtado. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea at 10:00. Calling hours Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home.
