Steven E. Souza

Steven E. Souza, 54,  of Tiverton RI, formerly of Westport, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was the husband of Melanie L. Souza.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Barry Souza and the late Linda (Hinze) Souza.

Steven was the foreman of the Town Of Westport Cemetery Division, he also took care of several properties in Westport. A union carpenter for many years, he was a Jack of all Trades.

Steven was a car enthusiast who loved his 1973 Camaro, which he rebuilt. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing in horseshoe tournaments and was also a coach for his son’s team in the Westport Little League. Above all Steven was a great family man who cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Besides his wife of 32 years, he is survived by his two children, Katlyn Souza and Devin Souza; his granddaughter, Alexis Ceiley; his sister, Tiffany Souza; and his mother-in-law, Corrine Brouillard (late husband, Arthur Brouillard).

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 18, from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Following cremation, burial will be private.
