Steven Lempke, 69, of Somerset, retired Fall River school teacher, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Theresa D. “Terezinha” Lempke.
Throughout his life, Steven’s passion was helping and serving others, as he was a teacher in the Fall River School Department, a volunteer in the Auxiliary Police Division of the Fall River Police Department, earning the rank of Sergeant, a volunteer in the Fall River Emergency Management Agency and after retiring from teaching, he was as employed by Amaral Bus Company, Inc.
He had also served in the Navy Reserve.
He also shared his resounding baritone in The Little Theatre of Fall River.
He leaves two children, Amanda E. Lempke and BMC Adam E. Lempke, USCG, Retired, (wife Laura);
stepdaughters Susan M. Brown, Linda M. DaSilva and Theresa Schultz (husband David);
ten grandchildren, Hannah Lempke Sanner, Abigail, Andrew, Christian, and Jillian Sanner, Madison Lempke, Corey Medeiros, Syan Brown, Sophia and Olivia Schultz; a great-grandson, Boston;
and a sister, Karen Cooper.
He was the son of the late Earl and Rozlyn “Rose” (Lima) Lempke.
Relatives and friends are invited to join a police escorted funeral procession to the Notre Dame Cemetery, which will leave the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River, Wednesday, July 20, at 9:00 AM. Committal service in the mausoleum chapel at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd. Fall River.
Arrangements are entrusted to Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
