Steven Desrosiers, 60, of Fall River, husband of Jeannine (Trial) Desrosiers, passed away unexpectedly at Newport Hospital on Thursday, December 22, 2016. He was employed by the Naval Station, Newport, RI as a fork lift operator and a disposable specialist. He had previously been employed by Elbe File and Binder Company and Quaker Manufacturing, Fall River.
Steven enjoyed fishing and he was a Boston Bruins fan. He was a graduate of Diman Regional High School in Fall River.
Besides his wife of 34 years, he leaves a daughter, Jacqueline A. Desrosiers and son in law Kevin Botelho of Fall River, a granddaughter, Mya Matos, a grandson, Alexander Barbosa, three siblings, Matthew Desrosiers, Andrew Desrosiers and Denise Black, a long-time friend, Steven Tobiaz, and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Brendan S. Desrosiers and the son of the late Edward and Lorraine (Dias) Desrosiers.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with a funeral service at 12:00 noon in Auclair Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations, to be used according to the wishes of the family are deeply appreciated.
