Stephen P. West

Stephen P. West, 59, of Fall River, died unexpectedly during surgery, Friday, October 20, 2006 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. He was the husband of Claudette (Freitas) West. Born in Maine, the son of Paul J. and Edith H. West of Mashpee, MA he lived in Fall River most of his life. He was employed by Verizon for over 20 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union # 2322. A cigar aficionado, he was a member of the Old Firehouse Smoke Shop Club, Fall River. His hobbies also included knife collecting and wood carving. He was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his wife of 13 years, and his parents, survivors include a daughter, Holly Robinson of Cumberland, RI, a stepdaughter, Shannon Hipolito of Fall River, a stepson, Ronald Hipolito of Fall River, and a granddaughter, Emma Lee Grace Robinson, of Cumberland. Calling hours Wednesday, October 25, from 4 to 9 PM in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River. Cremation to follow. Funeral service omitted.
