Stephen F. Donnelly

Stephen F. Donnelly, 52, of Westport, MA, formerly of Fall River, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 from complications due to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Somerville, MA, the son of Marjorie Donnelly of Kingston, MA and the late Edward Donnelly, he spent 11 years at the Lakeville Rehabilitation Hospital, then moved to Fall River and recently to Westport. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Rose Anna (Bolton) Donnelly; his sister, Elaine Ward (husband Tracy) of Haverhill, MA; stepchildren, Michael McNulty (wife Patricia) and Laurie Fruzzetti (husband Donald) all of Westport; grandchildren, Amanda and Stephanie McNulty, and Samantha, Daniel "D.J.", Dakota "Kody", and Connielee Taylor; a niece, Amy Ward; and aunt, uncles and cousins. He preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Mark Donnelly, and his stepdaughter, Colleen Taylor. An avid Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins fan, his life was made infinitely better due to the compassionate care he received from his longtime caregivers, Michael McNulty and Lucie Orosz. His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 5:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow. Visitation, prior to the service, Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
