Sheila K. Duggan

Sheila K. (Stone) Duggan, M.S. R.N., 76, of Westport, formerly of Brockton, wife of Thomas X. Duggan, died Thursday, August 4, 2011. She was employed in the nursing field by Brockton Hospital for 44 years. Since 1984, she served as the Coordinator of Nursing Information Systems at the hospital. She graduated from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing in 1955, Curry College in 1977 and Salve Regina College in 1984. Memberships included National League for Nursing, Mass. Organization of Nurse Executives, Nursing Information Systems Council of New England, Meditech Users Synergy Exchange, and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Assn. Besides her husband of 53 years, she leaves four children, Mary K. Duggan of Dartmouth, Ann L. Duggan and her husband Richard Stang of Westport, Patricia Duggan-Pauls and her husband Eric, Sr. of Westport and Kathleen "Katie" E. Gabriel and her husband Marc of Somerville; four grandchildren, Eric Pauls Jr., Anna Pauls, Kyle and Lauren Stang. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Katherine (Hannon) Stone and the sister of the late Virginia O'Reilly. Following cremation, a visitation will be held Sunday, August 14th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. with a service following at 1P.M. in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River. Reception following. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
