Scott A. Peixinho

Scott A. Peixinho, 47, of Tiverton, beloved eldest son of Anthony "Tony" and Theresa (Murphy) Peixinho, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a graduate of Tiverton High School, Class of 1988 where he was it's valedictorian and captained it's football team. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Providence College where he had the distinction of attaining the highest academic record in the Management division. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Bryant University. He was a member of Tau Pi Phi Honor Society. For the past 27 years Scott volunteered his skills and knowledge as a coach and statistician for the Tiverton Tigers football program. Those were some of his happiest times working alongside longtime Coach Bob Murray, Bill Phillips and Andy Gacioch and Chip McGrady. In 2014 he was inducted into the Rhode Island High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This October he will be inducted into the Tiverton Tigers Hall of Fame as a supporter. He was a member and communicant of St. Theresa Church, Tiverton.

Besides his parents, Scott is survived by his beloved brothers, Todd of Fall River (former wife Marci), Brian of Middleboro and Matt of Tiverton; loving nieces and nephew, Clay Anne Vieira and her husband Jimmy of Tiverton and Kristina and Todd Peixinho of Fall River and adoring great-niece and nephew Elli and James Vieira. He is also survived by his loving aunts, Luce Murphy and Sheila Michaud and her husband Richard, uncle Patrick Murphy and aunts, Hilda St.Ives, Alice Silvia and Elsie Herman and many cousins.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Interment, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.

Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
