Sanixa Monteiro

Sanixa Monteiro, 46, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away after an illness on Sunday, September 21, 2024, at Adventhealth in Celebration, Florida. Born on August 30, 1978, in Vila Nova Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde, Sanixa brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew her.

She was the longtime companion of Sergio DePina.

Sanixa be lovingly remembered by her children, Lauruana, Kelly, Miguel, and Zelyck, who were the lights of her life. She was a devoted mother, always filling her home with love and laughter. As a grandmother to Kyree, she embraced her role with open arms, sharing countless moments of joy and affection.

Her beloved mother, Domingas Batista Dos Reis, will forever cherish the bond they shared, sheltered under the love of family. Sanixa was also the daughter of the late Luis Dos Reis and the sister of Jessica, Luisinha, Zeza, Joaninha, Luisa, Luis, Titi, and Tony, creating a legacy of togetherness that will endure in the hearts of her siblings.

Sanixa's spirit was vibrant and full of life. She loved to cook for everyone, her culinary talents bringing people together around the table. Her food was so good, it became a reason for family gatherings and celebrations. Beyond cooking, Sanixa enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often filling the room with her infectious smile and laughter. She had a passion for dancing, embodying joy with every graceful move. She accepted everyone, no matter where they came from.

Sanixa is reunited in spirit with her late brother, Antonio Carlos, whose memory now stands as a reminder of the love that binds them beyond this life.

A visitation to celebrate her life will be held on September 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home located at 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA, 02721. Friends and family are invited to come share their memories and honor the beautiful soul that was Sanixa Monteiro. Her legacy of love, joy, and connection will forever remain in the hearts of those she has left behind.
