Sandra Ann Sardinha, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Known for her vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm, Sandra's life was a testament to the joy that can be found in everyday moments and simple pleasures.
A dedicated participant in the Special Olympics, Sandra showcased her talents and determination in various sports, particularly enjoying swimming, roller skating, and bowling. Her passion for life extended beyond sports; she had a deep love for music and often found solace in playing the guitar. Friday nights were a cherished tradition for Sandra as she relished going out to eat with her mother and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.
Sandra was also an avid movie enthusiast and found great delight in attending plays, especially those at Foxwood's. Her adventurous spirit led her on many trips, where she explored new places, always with a sense of curiosity and wonder.
She is survived by her loving sister, Beverly Carreiro (husband Leonard), and her brother, Mark Sardinha (wife Heather). Sandra now joins her parents, Manuel and Ludvina (Gracia) Sardinha, and her late brother, Paul J. Sardinha (wife Anne-Marie Sardinha), in eternal rest.
Sandra's legacy will continue through the many lives she touched with her kindness, zest for life, and unwavering spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends who had the privilege of sharing in her vibrant journey.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, October 31, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Church, South St. Somerset, at 10:00 AM.
