Ruth C. (Moore) Miranda

Ruth C. (Moore) Miranda, 92, of Fall River, formerly of Tiverton, wife of the late Frank P. Miranda, died peacefully, Sunday, September 23, 2012. A member of ILGWU, now UNITE, she worked in the garment industry, retiring from Stella-Anne Frocks and was a WORD Inc. Foster Grandparent volunteer for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral Women's Guild and Borden East Seniors. She leaves two children, Cheryl A. Miranda, her husband Arthur and Larry H. Miranda, his wife Nancy, all of Tiverton; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Miranda of Washington, DC, Ashley Miranda of Boston and Lauren Miranda of Tiverton; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Ruth also leaves her second family, the dedicated and compassionate Arborside staff of Southpointe Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late William and Sabina (Colloran) Moore and the beloved sister of the late Margaret Norton, Mildred Costa, Michael Moore, Ellen Atkinson and Rita Sullivan. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Ghost Church , Tiverton, at 9:00 AM. Burial, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Visitation, Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
