Russell W. Bercier, 62, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Born on February 5, 1963, in Fall River, Russell was known for his warm spirit and dedication to his family. He was an Army veteran of the Cold War, serving in Germany. He was employed as a machinist.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Christine (Botelho) Bercier; his son, Sean Bercier and his wife Courtney; and his mother, Jane (Subica) Lagarde, siblings Sharon Perrino and her husband Gary, Lori Deston and her husband Albert IV, and Andrew Wilson and his wife Darlene. He is predeceased by his father, Andrew Bercier, his stepfather, Richard R. "Dick" Lagarde, and his sister, Karen M. Delvalle.
Russell was a wonderful husband and father, exemplifying love and commitment in all aspects of his life. He was affectionately known as a "Mr. Fix-It" around the house, taking great pride in maintaining his home and yard, which reflected his innate sense of care and attention to detail.
His hobbies brought him much joy – he was particularly interested in diligently collecting and repairing pinball machines. Additionally, Russell had a fondness for music; he was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed his guitar collection. His passion for automobiles led him to attend car shows, where he appreciated the craftsmanship and innovation of vehicles.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service with military honors at 7:00 PM, at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River.
