Rosemary (Denadal) Medeiros

February 23, 1947 — February 29, 2020

Rosemary (DeNadal) Medeiros, 73, of Somerset, let go of her valiant battle Saturday. February 29, 2020.
Rosie was many things to many people. She lived her life with her whole heart and an easy smile. She loved her time in the sun, whether in the garden making simple plants grow to an abundance of delicious veggies and beautiful flowers or sitting in the morning sun, camping at Horseneck, with a cup of coffee and her family gathering as they wake. She loved to spend a night with her girlfriends creating crafty things as much as she loved going out for a couple of drinks and a good laugh.
But more than anything, she loved her family. She loved raising her two daughters and all the many lessons, adventures, and new family members that included. Her grandchildren were her greatest source of joy and pride. The sun and moon rose and set with every day she shared watching them grow into the amazing individuals they each have turned out to be.
Rosie was lucky enough to find two different loves and was blessed to find her second even though she never expected to find him. He brought her joy and laughter as well as four extraordinary stepdaughters who she was so honored to be loved by as much as she loved them.
Rosemary leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Jessica Medeiros of Warwick, RI and Patricia Zavras (Niko) of Worcester, MA, four stepdaughters, Susan Theroux Souza (David), Michelle Hughes (Bob), Lisa Theroux, and Janette Simonin (Rich), two sisters, Anne Crowell and Paula Sullivan, and hardest of all, her  three grandchildren, Lucas Roberts, Lily Zavras, and Kali Zavras.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Rico and Irma DeNadal, brother, David DeNadal, and her cherished companion and partner in crime of 23 years, Armand T Theroux.
Arrangements are being handled by Auclairs Funeral Home of Fall River and a simple service will be held Saturday, March 7, from 11-2 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Dana-Farber Institute at www.dana-farber.org/gift
