Rose (Viveiros) Medeiros, 78, of Family Drive, Fall River, formerly of Dwelly St., died Monday, September 11, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of Herminio J. Medeiros.
A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Cabral) Viveiros.
She was employed at the Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital for 25 years and then worked in the Fall River School Lunch Program.
She enjoyed her pet bird and western movies.
Besides her husband of 62 years, she is survived by
a son, Daniel D. Medeiros and his companion Cathy Roies of Westport;
a daughter, Cheryl Delisle and her husband Mark of Fall River;
3 brothers, Michael Viveiros, Ernest P. Viveiros, Sr. and Robert Banville, all of Fall River;
a sister, Alice Castro of Assonet;
6 grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Delisle and Daniel, Jason, Matthew and Vanessa Medeiros;
4 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Austin, Abigail and Anna Rose Medeiros
and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Herman Medeiros
and the grandmother of the late Eric Delisle.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM.
Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
