Rose Ann (Deforge) Correia

Rose Ann (Deforge) Correia, 98, of Fall River, wife of the late John Correia, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, December 22, 2018.

A saleswoman at the former Edgars Department Store, she was a member of Four -hands Round Square Dancing Club, Girl Scouts Troup #1079, and the George B. Stone Elementary School Parent Teacher Association. She enjoyed singing, reading, sewing, gardening and cooking for her family and friends.

She leaves three children, Gerald Correia and his wife Brenda of Fairhaven, Leonard Correia of San Diego, CA and Linda Correia and her fiancé Denis Ronan of Fall River; five grandchildren, Lynn Correia, Leonard Correia, Jr., Jennifer Maynard, Joseph Sousa and Lisa Zucchero; six great-grandchildren, Shalyn and Hudson Maynard, Joshua and Brandon Zucchero, and Joseph and James Sousa; a sister, Elizabeth Souza of Kingston and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Rosara Cabral and Arthur Deforge, sister of the late Arthur and Oliver Deforge and mother-in-law of the late Karen Correia.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
