Rosa (Sousa) Rodrigues

Rosa (Sousa) Rodrigues, 88, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022.  She was the wife of Manuel B. Rodrigues.

Born in Portela, Cabana Maior, Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Ana (Rodrigues) Sousa.

She, with her husband, owned and operated the former Plourde’s Bakery and previously was employed by Bristol Knitting Mills, Darwood Mfg. and Santoro Mfg.

Besides her husband of 66 years, she leaves her daughter, Rose Marie Rodrigues of Somerset;

a brother, Antonio Rodrigues Sousa of Portugal and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arinda  and Arminda Rodrigues, Manuel Chousa and Maria Rodrigues Chousa.

We  would like to thank family, friends and Charlton Memorial Hospital staff including nurses, nurse’s aides, doctors and hospice workers for their support in her care.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10,2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Thursday,  Aug.11,2022 at 9 :00 AM from the funeral home,  with a Funeral Mass at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St.  at 10:00  AM.
