Rosa (DeChaves) DeChaves, 88. of Fall River, formerly of Fairhaven, widow of Antonio DeChaves, died Monday, April 13, 2009. She leaves 3 children, Joseph DeChaves (wife Susan) of East Freetown, Peggy Snizek (husband late Rick) of Fall River and Anthony J. DeChaves (wife Betsy) of Fairhaven; grandchildren, Heather, Nicole and Meagan Snizek, Anne Dufresne, Chandra Proulx, Tony, Jennifer and Joseph DeChaves and Sarah DeChaves-Borges; 5 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Mary (DeChaves) DaLuz and the sister of the late Leona Casey, John DeLuz and Jose Andrade. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Stanislaus Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
