Ronald J. White

Ronald J. White, Sr., 75, of Fall River, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by Harvey Probber Furniture for 45 years and then Polaroid Corp. A member St. John's Athletic Club, he was an avid card player and enjoyed Foxwoods Casino and especially spending time with his family. He leaves 3 sons, Ronald J. White, Jr., Robert White and Michael J. White, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Cortney L. Fernandes, Matthew and Steven Buchanan, Heather White, Amanda Martins and Jayden Fernandes-Theobalt; 5 great-grandchildren including his beloved Charles "Charlie Brown" Fernandes-Bembery; a sister, Claire White Fagioli of Swansea and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Catherine D. Fernandes and Susan Buchanan; the son of the late James and Doris (McDermott) White; the brother of the late James White, Agnes Sampson, Verna Ferris and Maureen Paulino; and the former husband of the late Barbara (Keating) White. His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:30 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Friday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
