Ronald J. Rioux

Ronald J. Rioux, 67, of Mouse Mill Rd., Westport, MA, husband of Alexina (Bastille) Rioux, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gloria (Tanguay) Rioux. A decorated Vietnam veteran, he served his country in the United States Army Infantry. He was a former member of the Westport Police Department, prior to opening Central Restaurant Equipment, which he owned and operated for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Fall River. Ronald enjoyed playing cribbage, cooking and especially spending time with his family. Along with his wife of 44 years, he is survived by his 5 children- Renée Rioux and Ronald Rioux (wife- Janet Dion Rioux) of Fall River, Jean "Jay" Rioux (wife- Tara Rioux) of No. Kingston, RI, Rhonda Rioux (Robert Almeida) and Ryan Rioux of Westport; 5 grandchildren-Nicholas, Hailey, and Mackenzie Rioux, Zoie Almeida Rioux, and Jack Rioux; siblings- Joseph Rioux of Fall River, Lorraine Rioux of Westport and Annette Mello of Portsmouth, RI and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Rachelle Helen Rioux; the son of the late Joseph and Gloria (Tanguay) Rioux and brother of the late Doris Frederick. Visitation, Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service at 8:00 PM. Cremation to follow.
