Ronald Rachel

Ronald Rachel, 65, of Westport, devoted husband of Therese (Lariviere) Rachel, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was employed by Quaker Fabrics, Fall River and Color World, Taunton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, vacationing and helping people. Besides his wife of 43 years, he leaves 2 children, Christopher Rachel and his wife Brenda of Fall River and Tina Marie Rachel of Westport; grandchildren, Nicholas, Victoria and Isabella; siblings, Barbara Thomas of Idaho, Joanne Charles, Bruce Rachel, George Rachel and Margaret Guillemette, all of Fall River and Ruthanne Rachel of Dartmouth and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late George and Mary Beatrice (Souza) Rachel and the brother of the late Grace Tremblay and Anne Marie Berube. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. George Church, Wesport, at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
