Ronald Brodeur

July 5, 1944 — October 22, 2022

Ronald E. Brodeur, 78, of Fall River, passed into eternal life Saturday, October 22, 2022.

He was the husband of Joan A. (Wahl) Brodeur.

He was born and raised in Fall River to a butcher and his wife and there began his love affair with a good steak. He met his wife Joan at a hospital when they were ages 19 and 20. They got married shortly thereafter. He worked full time and attended college at Northeastern University earning his BS, at the same time starting their family.

He was employed by Honeywell for over 20 years and for Raytheon for 10 years.  He also operated Parkside Restaurant, Fall River and Bellevue News, Newport.

Ronald was a dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather. His love for his wife of 59 years and all his family was shown through his constant presence at family events. Always willing to attend a chorus concert, sporting events, weddings or graduations. To him, family and friends were everything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was an avid walker and loved his predawn strolls.

He also loved coaching his sons when they were kids.

Ron enjoyed golfing, never ever 3-putt a green. On the golf course, he also never had a bad lie. Best foot wedge Evah.

Ron loved vacationing with his wife but the trips were even more special when his grandchildren were alongside.

He had a passion for his local sports teams (the Sox were always done after every loss!)

His love and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Besides his wife, Ron leaves three children, Steven Brodeur and his wife Zelia, Scott Brodeur and his wife Chantal and Lorrie Odams and her husband Neil;

ten grandchildren, Haylee and Nick Murray, Hannah, Amanda, Ronald and Andrew Brodeur, Jackson and Nathan Odams, Joshua and Jacob Newmark;

two great-grandchildren, Faye and Wren Murray.

He was the brother of the late Henry Brodeur and the son of the late Leo H. Brodeur and Marie Lyda (Guay) Brodeur.

Following cremation, a committal service for family members will be held in the near future, at Notre Dame Cemetery.
