Ronald P. "Butch" Bouchard, Sr., 75, of Tiverton, husband of the late Lorraine M. "Lala" (Bienvenue) Bouchard, died peacefully, at home, Wednesday, September 9, 2009. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1952, he served in the Army and prior to retiring was employed by S. M. Howes Co., co-owned and operated Fall River Fireplace Co. and with his late wife owned and operated Textile Paper Tube Co. An avid outdoorsman and member of Ducks Unlimited, he enjoyed hunting, boating, and fishing on the Westport River. He was a Red Sox and Patriots fan and held honorary life membership in the Knights of Columbus. He leaves 2 children, Ronald P. Bouchard, Jr. of Somerset, MA and Carol Awiszus and her husband William of Franklin, MA; 4 grandchildren, Ronald Bouchard, III, Caitlyn Awiszus, Kathryn Bouchard and William Awiszus, III; a sister, Muriel Reynolds and her husband Alton of Tiverton and his companion Fannie (Breault) Braz of Fall River. He was the son of the late Pierre and Blanche (Cote) Bouchard and the brother of the late Pierre Bouchard. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ducks Unlimited, 1 Waterfowl Way, Memphis TN 38120 appreciated.
